DESCRIPTION:The Dean's Lunch & Learn Series is an informal gathering to bui
 ld and strengthen community across campus while also celebrating our impact
  through research\, innovation\, and engagement. All faculty and staff are 
 welcome to join for part or all of the session\, as able.\n\nDr. Mawuli Afe
 nyo\, Assistant Professor Maritime Business Administration\, is also an aff
 iliate of the Texas A&M Global Cyber Research Institute. His research focus
 es on various aspects of maritime transportation\, including Arctic shippin
 g\, oil spill prevention and response\, maritime safety and security manage
 ment\, and global supply chains. He has taken part in major multi-disciplin
 ary\, multinational\, large-scale projects globally. Dr. Afenyo was also th
 e recipient of the KLU Young Researcher Award for his work on the impact of
  shipping activities in the Arctic. He has been interviewed by various prin
 t and electronic outlets\, including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation 
 (CBC) and High North News\, while also appearing in Yahoo News and ScienceD
 aily.
